Our Team

Michael has extensive experience in energy storage, microgrids, power distribution and control market segments. Highly skilled in Business Development, Sales, Product and Project Management, Terms and Conditions, Contract Negotiation, and Start-ups. 

Formerly Senior Vice President/ Sales and Business Development of the Energy Storage & Renewables Business Unit at PowerSecure.  He developed and managed the sales strategies, marketing, and project management of energy storage and microgrid technologies.  Michael was also responsible for managing the relationships and contracts with target customers, major suppliers, and strategic partners.  

Previously, Michael managed sales for Eaton in Eastern North and South Carolina for the Commercial, Industrial, Federal, and Residential markets.  Michael also led various quality and corporate initiatives.

Michael holds a BSEE degree from West Virginia University and a MBA from University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He has worked in the electrical power industry for over 25 years with a background in switchgear and distributed generation serving the industrial, commercial, institutional, and government markets. 

When not working, Michael enjoys playing tennis, golf, volunteering for local charity programs, and spending time with his family.

Robert has vast experience and practical knowledge in distributed generation, renewable energy, power systems engineering, communications, and control.  Including microgrids, energy storage, CHP, fuel cells, hydro, wind and solar.  Rob's know how in both ac and dc systems, combined with his manufacturing experience is a distinct advantage and differentiator when solving electrical challenges.

Robert Harris was formerly the Chief Technology Officer at PowerSecure where he led the industry in innovation and implementation for the past 14 years. Previously, as President of the Energy Storage and Renewables Business Unit, he developed custom storage and advanced micro-grid solutions. Rob led the design and implementation of the most complex microgrid in the US.  Rob opened PowerSecure’s medium voltage switchgear manufacturing facility where he developed unique stationary and mobile paralleling solutions around the globe.  

Prior to joining PowerSecure, he worked as an Applications Engineer for Eaton’s Electrical Services division.  While at Eaton, Rob led numerous projects associated with upgrading and repairing equipment as the manufacturer's representative for power distribution and control equipment.  

Rob served our country as a navy nuclear plant operator which contributed heavily to his electrical knowledge and practical know how.  Rob is an active member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Power System Relay Committee, where he is a contributing member of many Working Groups. In Rob’s free time, he plays and coaches multiple soccer teams.
